Unity Uxor, Professional Wife (A to Z, U)

Unity is a bright and bubbly person, happy to talk and work, good at setting people at ease and making friends.  She speaks English along with Japanese, Spanish, and Coast Salish, all with a slight California accent, however.

While her personality is genuine, when not being out and about, she prefers more comfortable clothes for lounging, which she does not get to do very often.

Background: Born Unity Angel Markowitz in California, her parent were lower-level corporate workers in the entertainment industry complex.  Still, Unity went to a succession of increasingly better quality schools.  Her natural talent being directed into acting and presentation.  By the time she graduated high school, she had already racked up a variety of acting credits.

She fell into a recurring role on the dramedy New Californian Family, where she played the love interest of Bobert, the oldest son, and at the end of the second season, his wife.  From there, she moved into being a marriage planner and influencer and then into being a “professional wife” and influencer.

Unity still takes occasional acting role, but as a guest star never as a regular, as her influencing takes up most of her time.  She advises other people on how best to be a wife, and by wife, she means life partner.  Unity does not have an agenda beyond helping everyone live their best life and, this is as much as an agenda as she has, she believes in most cases that involved being in a relationship with other people.  She also takes jobs as a companion to other people, a wife for a night or event, for those who need to have someone accompany them to an opening or event.

Presenting this Character: Unity is self-confident and stylish, always in command of herself and her appearance.  She is always seeking ways to improve her position in the influencer ecosystem.  While Unity is focused on advancing herself, that does not mean that she does not genuinely want to help the people that follow her live better lives.

What can she do?: Unity is an expert at making friends and guiding people into realizing what they really want to do and who they want to be with.  She has contacts across the entire range the entertainment spectrum from c-list influencers to star actors, make-up artists to bodyguards, if there is a skill needed, she knows someone that can provide it.

She has also mastered what she calls “the wifely arts”: cooking, organizing a household, interpersonal communication, sewing, and first aid.  Unity considers these as vital skills for at least one person in a relationship to have and offers classes in them.

Who might know her and why: Unity is well-known in the influencer universe and many people recognize her from her guest star turns in various media.  Because of her influencer persona, many people feel that they know her and she does her best to build that relationship with her “distant family” as she calls her followers.

Anyone who worked in the entertainment industry may have met Unity.  She does her best to make friends with everyone so they could actually be casual friends with her.

Plot Hooks: An important corporate exucutive has hired Unity as his “wife” for an important business dinner.  Her flight in was delayed by weather and now, time is short, a team needs to get her to the corporate retreat before the dinner starts.

One of her “distant family” has dropped off the grid and Unity is worried.  She gets in touch with the characters to find what has happened to them.  Unity cannot offer heaps of money, but having her as a friend and ally could be worth more than mere cash.

Unity wants to understand the sort of stress being a shadowrunner inflicts on people and is willing to pay to watch a team in action, from planning to execution.  She has no interest in their actual mission but in the interplay between the team members.  It seems like free money but can you trust her?
