Seraph, Elven Adept and Sensei (A to Z, S)

She wears clothes as is appropriate to the situation, be that high fashion or combat, but she almost always wears a long coat over it.  The long coat is electrochromatic and able to shift colors as needed, but she prefers white.

Seraph is watchful and careful; she has not survived so long in a dangerous world by letting her guard down.  She is polite, well-educated, and is fluent in several languages.  She is always looking for potential students for her school and potential threats.

Background: Arguably, Seraph‘s life has been full of tragedy.  She was adopted as a young child, having been abandoned by her parents and adopted by one of the nobles of the newly formed Tir Tairngire.  She was raised to be a weapon, her skills honed, her loyalty instilled, her adept ability awakened, and focused.   And she bought into it completely, she was a Tir Elf’s Tir Elf.  Even after her world collapsed, she kept that loyalty to the elven ideal.  And collapse her world did, her adopted family, her order, and her lord were shattered, betrayed, killed.  She was the only survivor as the political games among the Tir Nobles turned lethal.  Her Lord and his servants were on the losing end, she was the only one who survived, fleeing to a safe house in Seattle.

There, Seraph became a shadowrunner . . . and spy for the Tir.  Because she still believed in the Tir ideal, the indoctrination had deeply embedded itself in her consciousness.  She was successful, making allies, building a reputation, making money.  All of that was good, but she began to question the Tir way and the world view it had instilled in her.  Slowly, she pulled away from her slavish devotion, becoming an ally rather than an agent, of the Tir and starting to form her own way forward.

Using the money she had collected and calling on some favors from the Tir, Seraph acquired a building and established a school for adepts.  Now she teaches people to unlock and master their abilities and tries to instill a moral code into them.  She still feeds information back to the Tir and acts on their behalf, but she vets what she is asked to do now before accepting the mission.

Presenting this Character: Sepaph is supremely self-confident, no longer arrogant as she was in her youth, but she knows her skills and how to prepare for danger.  She still has a bit of that Tir aloofness to her which she suspects she will never get rid of and, honesty, does not want to.

Another source of Seraph‘s confidence is that she has the ability to see into astral space and has become very adept and flickering in and out of that perception, using that to read the people she is dealing with.

What can she do?: Seraph was trained from childhood to be an efficient killer and agent.  Over the last thirty or so years, she has honed those skills to a razor-sharpness.  She has trained with some of the best and over that time has trained some people who have gone on to become experts in their fields.

Seraph is an adept, what was called a physical adept when she started, someone who channels magic to improve their abilities and she has mastered those skills.  Seraph founded an initiate group, named after her Tir organization that was wiped out, the Wind Swords.  Within that group, she is the oldest member and has climbed quite far up the initiate chain and thus has considerable power at her disposal.

From her Tir and shadowrunner contacts, she has access to high-quality gear and has several magical foci bound to her.  Her prized possession is a monocrystal bladed katana that is her weapon focus.

Who might know her and why: Agents and former agents, from the Tir, may have worked with Seraph or at least been informed that she was an asset.

An adept who focuses on physical enhancement may have been trained by Seraph at the WS Studio that she runs.
